Indicated for shortening the delivery period in cases of contractile insufficiency of the musculature. Effective in placental retention, postpartum hemorrhage, and uterine atony. It also combats uterine prolapse in cows and mares and postpartum milk retention. It is also an adjuvant in the treatment of metritis-mastitis-agalactia.
