EPREMIUM 5% is the endectocide with the highest concentration of eprinomectin on the market, indicated for treating internal and external parasites in cattle.
Eprinomectin is a semi-synthetic derivative of avermectins, which are a group of chemically related macrocyclic lactones produced by the fermentation of a soil-inhabiting fungus, Streptomyces avermitilis. Avermectins are widely used in veterinary medicine and, since the introduction of ivermectin in anti-parasitic therapy, the aim has been to combine the efficacy of these active ingredients with short withdrawal periods. In this regard, eprinomectin stands out for its low residual profile, which makes it safer to use endectocides in herds for meat and milk production. EPREMIUM 5% is an endectocide for cattle, indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal nematodes, ticks, mange and horn flies.
The parasites for which EPREMIUM 5% is indicated are: Gastrointestinal nematodes: Highly effective against the adult stage of: Haemonchus placei, Cooperia punctata, Trichostrongylus azei and Oesophagostomum radiatum. Effective against the adult stage of Cooperia pectinata. Tick: Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus. Berne: Dermatobia hominis larvae. Horn fly: Haematobia irritans.
